Our Story

The history of the TLM Community in North Alabama has its roots dating back to 2008 when a group of faithful from Huntsville, Alabama and surrounding areas expressed a great desire for the Traditional Latin Mass. In the years since the establishment of the parish, membership has grown tremendously.  Parish life has also grown with a focal point of renewing Catholic Culture in and through the parish.  There are occasional festivals and receptions anchored to beautiful Feasts of the Church. The Friends of Traditional Latin Mass (FoTLM) was formed early 2024 to continue to provide support the continued growth and needs of the beautiful Traditional Latin Mass in the North Alabama area and beyond.

Support the Traditional Latin Mass community, in North Alabama and beyond, devoted to the perennial religious and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. FoTLM is organized to buy, acquire, improve, renovate, preserve, develop, lease, and own real property to further the community’s growth and worship in the richness of tradition. We are a non-profit 501c3 charitable religious organization that supports the Traditional Latin Mass, and the community devoted to it.

Phase 2: Property Beautification
(Complete)

The beautification process we undertook resulted in a remarkable transformation of the area. By leveling the land and removing the existing building, we’re proud to present a revitalized space that allows us to continue on to the next phase of development.

Phase 3: Design and Build
(In Progress)

Phase 3 is building Saint Joseph's Hall, a beautiful Multipurpose Facility for the use by the local TLM parish. This will include developing the layouts, renderings, plans, and the building of this facility. We are now ready to go full speed ahead into a fund-raising and building campaign for this much needed facility.

This beautiful facility will cost ~4 million to build depending on the architecture, materials, and future building cost. We plan to raise this funding over the next two to three years and plan to start the construction in that timeframe as we finalize the building plans and acquire city approval. Spread the word and let us support the growth and needs of the Traditional Latin Mass in North Alabama.
